Hi-Lites Aveda is different than any other salon around. I made it that way because my dream and vision was to "create an environment unlike any other". In order to create the dream I needed to reinvent the salon world. I wanted to groom every member of my team to be the best they can be. Not only professionally but personally. In order to do that I needed to become a Master Trainer in the State of California. Which allows me the ability to personally train each designer on my team to become a licensed cosmetologist. Not only do I train them to do hair, I take part in guiding them to be an even better person by treating them with respect and concern, I help them “better their best.”

When you come to Hi-Lites Aveda you will immediately see what I mean from the minute you pick up the phone to make a reservation to the following days after you leave. We provide an experience "unlike any other" and do that because we care. That is why we do not accept tips. The service we provide is on a professional level, such as a therapist or a consultant.

We are not a rental salon or a salon that hires Designers on a commission basis. Which is what the majority of all other salons do. We pay an above fair wage for services done. We work as a team to provide a service to you and are paid as professionals, with medical and dental benefits, 401K plans and paid education, which is the most valuable benefit of this company.

The majority of salons around the world do not provide education. It is usually the responsibility of the Designer to educate themselves. It was my dream to have the most educated group of professionals in the industry and I am well on my way of living that dream. We provide all the tools of our trade in order to give you the best possible experience you deserve as a guest of Hi-Lites Aveda. That is not the case with most salons, the lack of which can prevent a stylist from being able to fulfill your vision.

Because we are human we are not perfect, and we pride ourselves on our ability to overcome obstacles and to correct them with the utmost professionalism. Without error one cannot improve.
