NEW SALON ON EL PASEO- In case you missed it last time or you're new to our mailing list, Hi-Lites Aveda will be opening its first Satellite location on El Paseo sometime next month. Things are moving along great, the designers and architects have finished their job and construction will be starting and finishing in a blink of an eye. The store portion of the business will be open just in time for your holiday shopping. We will be having great savings, double pure privilege points and as always our ever so popular Cash Card deals, so stop by and take a look. We can't wait for you to experience our new Hair Spa room!

GUESTS OF CHRIS and ANA G- On select special Saturdays during the Holiday season, Chris and Ana G will be available to take your reservations in lieu of their regular Monday through Friday schedule. These dates are as follows so call to book soon, these appointments will be filling up fast! Chris will be here on November 24 and December 29. Ana G will be available on November 10, 24, and December 29.

Yep, she's already 8 months pregnant with her little boy and she will be departing for Mommy-Land in less than 3 weeks. If you are one of Ana's guests and you plan it just right, you won't even miss her. So don't wait get in before she's gone.

OWNERS Of HI-LITES AVEDA and husband/wife team Jim and Darla recently took a trip to Minneapolis, Minnesota, the birthplace of AVEDA. They were part of a prestigious group of 30 Aveda salons from throughout the country whom were treated to an exclusive tour of the Aveda Manufacturing plant to see where and how all of our wonderful products are made. This sprawling facility is true to Aveda Philosophy in that it is built and runs completely “green”, from its open-air ventilation system that runs on wind power to its GPS enabled solar sky lights for electricity. There they were educated about the indigenous tribes in Africa and Australia who play a major role in harvesting the raw materials used to make AVEDA makeup color pigments. GUEST SPOTLIGHT! We have so many great clients at Hi-Lites Aveda that we have decided to add a section to our newsletter about it. If you are doing something great for the community, a charity, or have a business that you would like to extend Hi-Lites Aveda guests an offer to, let us know and we will feature you in the next available issue. Many people wish they could help others, but don't have the money, resources, or time. One of our Guests has developed an idea that changes that, making it beyond easy to get involved and help those in need. Heather Oster's “Party With a Purpose” holds a casual event every other month, where the cost to get in the door is the item to be donated. It could be food, backpacks, blankets, or other necessary items, and since the main focus is on homeless citizens and pets in our valley, the main beneficiaries are Martha's Village, Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, and the No-Kill Animal Shelter. On October 4th, Darla, Rebecca and Terra from Hi-Lites Aveda attended one of these events, where the focus was on hygiene products. Together they raised more than $500 in cash and products. If you want to be active in your community but need a direction, aren't able to write out a $1000.00 check, but still want to help, this is a great idea for you as an individual or with your company. BLOOD DRIVE- The local Community Blood bank was happy to receive 40 willing participants, 30 of which became actual donors! THANK YOU everybody, enjoy those FREE haircuts! Remember we do this the first Saturday of every month, so call and sign up for the next one and get your next haircut for free.
MASTER JAM HOLLYWOOD- On the last weekend in October, some of our accomplished and talented team members traveled to famous Hollywood to attend Aveda's Master Jam Conference at the Renaissance Hotel. As many of you know, we were excited about going and we weren't disappointed, it was amazing! This event kicked off on Sunday evening with a fabulous stage show featuring models, music, and performance of platform hair artists from around the world. Following on Monday were four different classes covering new techniques in shape, design and color. These classes gave us a new perspective and helped to inspire and renew the passion for our industry. Artistic director Chris is currently working on a new look incorporating his vision and inspiration from his experience. |
