Wonderful Place for a HairCut!!!!

Imagine being shampooed in a spa environment with dim lights, aromatherapy candles and then someone massages your head, neck, face and hands during the shampoo / condition part of the service. I almost forgot to mention the facial being given to me as well.

My hairstylist Ana Garcia did all of that plus the haircut and styling as well. I will come back to this place next year when I go to Palm Springs for a vacation!

I went to get my eyebrows waxed/shaped and came out very happy with the results. So glad I went! From what I saw waiting, many happy customers were leaving. The hair styles I saw were amazing. If you go for anything (especially waxing) ask for Erin. She's been trained, certified and does a fantastic job!

I went to Aveda just because of their product. To my surprise they turned out to be one of the best out there. I reside in California for 6 months and Chicago for the other half of the year. What made my experience over the top...was that my stylist listened and did exactly what I asked. I felt beautiful each and every time I left. So take your hairs to Aide at this location and be wooed...by her skill set.

So happy!!! I went to Hi-Lites Aveda and loved it! My stylist Chris was awesome. He gave me the best haircut ever. I have never seen anyone cut hair like him. Seriously, if you are seeking to have a fun edgy new look, he is the guy!! I noticed all the girls had fun flirty and very trendy hair which totally inspired me to get color done too. The best part about it is that Chris mentioned that AVEDA color and shampoo are like 99% organic, all natural line. My hair felt softer after my color than it did before. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone!!

When I first encountered Hi-Lites Aveda Salon my first thought was; can i afford the "salon level" cost for my haircut? ...vs. Supercuts where I have been going for years. I decided to give them a try and I was blown away at what an incredible experience I had and how cool my hair looked. The facial and massage I received put me in another world which was so relaxing I didn't want it to end. The bright and friendly atmosphere of the salon made me feel quite at home and the care and time taken to every last detail of my styling made me feel like a king! Even the products they recommended where so reasonably priced it made sense to buy them. Anna, Chris and their amazing staff are now my friends and I would never consider going anywhere else. At 54, with my hair thinning and my youthful looks declining...I walked out of Hi-Lites Aveda Salon feeling hip and looking sharp. You commonly hear "you get what you pay for" but I personally feel I got far greater experience and service than I ever expected and suggest you give them a try. I read a "less than complimentary" review and can only suggest that some people are just plain unhappy about everything including themselves and use the anonymity of the internet to spread bad karma vs. speaking directly to the owners to voice their complaints and allow them the opportunity to make the client happy. I don't normally take the time to sit down and write a review of a business I use, but in this case i couldn't wait to get home and let everyone know what a great Salon and professional group of people can be found with a visit to Hi-Lites Aveda in Cathedral City. I give them my highest recommendation.

:( Although I never visited the Palm Desert location, this is very sad news for the salon, and speaks to the terrible state of the economy. I hope when things pick up again you are able to reopen another location, as I LOVE your salon in Cathedral City and would love to see it grow throughout the valley.

I also want to tell you how much I love the service I get at your salon. I never took the time before (though I always meant to) to let you know how much I always love my hair after I leave. Your guys and gals are great, very professional and very friendly. I truly feel the difference in a no-tipping salon - it's like there is no competition, no negative energy, just people who love what they do and where they do it. It takes away so much pressure, on the customer and the stylist, to do away with tipping. Also, something I noticed with salons I used to go to is that when I needed to opt for the cheaper services, I was treated like a second-rate client. But at your salon, whether I'm using a blood donation coupon for a simple haircut(A service that I truly appreciate, by the way!) or if I'm paying for a full head of highlights, your team always treats me like a VIP. It truly shows that they enjoy working there and enjoy what they do. I just really enjoy visiting your salon as I have never had a bad experience, and always leave feeling relaxed and pretty. :) I want to wish you and your team the best as we all try to get through this slump!

I read your newsletter and I just want to take a quick moment to let you know how much I enjoyed attending your salon while I was in the valley working as a traveling nurse. I go to Aveda salons as I have traveled around the country and all are nice and worth going to but yours goes the extra mile. The extra little pampering is so nice...

Darla, I want to compliment you on the wonderful salon. I had an appointment with Stephanie on Sat. She was wonderful, truly worked with me on the haircut, never pressured me (as many stylists do) to cut off more than I wanted, made me feel special, and did a great job to boot. Paula made the makeup business fun. I've had a lot of sorrow in our family lately (3 family deaths in 6 months) and it was nice to be pampered and feel beautiful for once in a long long time. Thank you for a great salon.

LOVE the "hair club." It's perfect for someone like me who still can't blow dry her own hair. Relaxing during my hair experience is the " hi-lite" of my busy week.

Hi Darla - I LOVE my membership!!! The first time I walked into Hi-Lites Aveda Salon I was amazed at the relaxing, professional atmosphere! When I came to Hi-Lites I was looking for a customized approach to hair care and not just simply another run of the mill, "one size fits all" salon. From customized cuts to hand mixed colors, each and every service is preformed with ME in mind. This salon continues to provide excellent services, which is why I decided to become a member. I have to admit my hair has never looked so amazing before, nor have I ever felt more beautiful.

The unlimited hair membership has been extremely beneficial to me. It allows me to take advantage of Hi-Lites Aveda's many wonderful hair treatments. I am also saving thousands of dollars per year, believe it or not. The membership is definitely a money saver if you are devoted to keeping your hair beautiful and healthy.

Darla, I just wanted to give you a shout out and say way to go on the "out of the box" thinking! New ideas and brainstorms are just what we need to move forward in this industry. It takes a lot of courage and gumption to go down a new path and try a fresh idea and experiment with different ways to grow your business!
